We exist to elevate students with lower life-success projections into high-performing, well-cultured, well-rounded citizens who lead with moral grounding, economic awareness, and a sense of purpose.
Our mission is driven by a belief that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. We work to close that gap.

OUR HISTORY
Groundbreaking Preparatory Academy was founded in 2016 with a bold vision to create an accessible collegiate workshop school model for youth who often slip through the cracks of traditional education. What began as a mission-driven initiative has evolved into a transformative academy focused on academic achievement, entrepreneurship, and character development.
We were built out of the necessity and reality that too many students are capable, intelligent, and creative, but not given the space, structure, or support to realize their potential. Groundbreaking Preparatory Academy became the answer.
Today, G.P.A. is a growing educational program committed to expanding opportunities and elevating the futures of students across North Carolina and beyond.
OUR LEADERSHIP
Our team is composed of educators, mentors, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who are passionate about preparing the next generation. We hire staff who bring both expertise and compassion, individuals who understand the importance of culturally responsive teaching, strategic academic intervention, and character-based leadership.
While traditional schools focus on instruction, our educators focus on transformation. They are coaches, advisors, and guides who meet students where they are to equip and elevate them to where they can be.
